Hi I’m Vishal
I’m a technology law practitioner based in United Kingdom, writing about the legal questions that sit at the frontier of how business, regulation, and technology interact.
Here you’ll find commentary on UK legal developments, data protection law, AI regulation, and occasional deep-dives into the books that shape how I think about law and practice.
The goal is simple: serious legal thinking, made useful.
On Thinking in Public
I have practised across IP litigation and now data privacy and cybersecurity regulation, which means I have seen how legal risk manifests both in the courtroom and in the boardroom.
What I write here comes from that experience. From advising businesses on real problems. From sitting with difficult legal questions long enough to develop a view, rather than reaching for the nearest consensus.
There is no shortage of legal commentary. There is a shortage of original thought. This is my attempt to contribute something that is genuinely mine.
